Had to ask you, ed001, what do you think of Milan's transfer window so far? With the signing of Bonucci especially, they seem like they're almost ready to challenge Juve for the scudetto.

{Ed001's Note - they have certainly gone for it, though Bonucci, I have been told, comes with a lot of baggage. However, they get their team to gel and they should be pushing Juve. I don't think there is enough there to beat the Old Lady, but Milan have got a very good chance of picking up second. Even if Bonucci has baggage, he is still a top class centre half.}

Strange Milan has decided to target players with so much baggage. Bonucci and Calhanoglu have signed, and they're also looking at Auba who I understand has so many issues that Dortmund are looking to sell no matter how good he is. Just another question, will they run into financial trouble with so much money spent? Will they be forced to sell like Roma and Inter this summer to balance the books?

Cheers for all the time and hard work 🙂.

{Ed001's Note - no, because the FFP rules are taken over 3 years, so they should be ok this time around.}

Baggage or not ed1 Bonnuci is a steal for them and just the type of player to partner Romagnoli. Also didn't E. Davids come with baggage, well he was good. I heard/ read that Bonnuci once knocked a guy with a single shot at gunpoint so he seems tough too.

On another note ed1 what do you make of Montella as manager? Also who are Juve looking at to replace Bonnuci.

Thanks and sorry for too many questions.

{Ed001's Note - nobody has any idea about Montella, he is too new. No idea who is replacing Bonnucci sorry.}

Rugani will replace Bonucci most likely.

Tbh, Milan's spending spree reminds me of Brendan Rodgers' candy shopping scam. Rodriguez is overrated, Calhanoglu is simply a free kick specialist, less said about Borini the better, Mussachio is injury prone and Kessie is still untested at the highest level.

Andre Silva imo is the only signing that will make a real impact. Milan might just scrape a top3 place, but that's more down to the lack of quality of competing teams (Juve aside) . Too many signings and trying to make them play as a well oiled unit will be Montella's biggest test yet and he may not last the heavy expectations that the football world has placed on his shoulders after what I believe is a random player purchasing spree.

How are they better than Napoli. Napoli has te best attack in the league and by some miles! Roma will miss out from the CL spot!
