Hi ed,

You have mentioned that AC Milan are under some serious financial pressures at the moment - would you mind elaborating on that slightly? Will they need to offload some of their 'star' players this summer as a result?

Thanks,
Max.

MB1

{Ed002's Note - Club is up for sale, needs players sales by June 30 and will change coaches again this season with a new coach agreed. Milan are working their way out as well and want a younger team with no expensive "headline" type players. They and Inter still have to sort out replacing the San Siro but Elliott are still open to a sale at the right price.}

Thanks Ed. Has any club shown interest in Theo Hernandez after his impressive first season at AC Milan? Purely curious since it seems a fair few clubs are looking for new left backs this summer. Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - There have been enquiries but Milan are not looking to sell.}

2.) 10 Jun 2020 20:47:26
Insight much appreciated as always - thanks!

Hi ed,

Is it true that Griezmann is close to agreeing a new deal at Atletico?

Thanks.

MB1

{Ed002's Note - Yes, and the club in discussions have been told that.}

1.) 20 May 2016 17:15:32
many thanks for the response

2.) 21 May 2016 00:16:02
Will this mean that he is unlikely to move in the summer or does the new contract change nothing to do with efforts being made to sign him by other clubs?
Cheers in advance and great work on the pages!

{Ed002's Note - I would not expect him to move for the next two years. Obviously things can change.}

3.) 21 May 2016 00:21:21
Wow thanks for the ultra swift reply ed!

Hi ed, would you be able to provide an update on who Juventus transfer targets are this summer and potential outgoings please? Cheers.

MB1

{Ed002's Note - Might well be outt of date in places.

INTEREST

This has not been updated for a while, but there has been interest in:
Marc-Andre ter Stegen (G) – Was Plan A but new deal on the table for WS signed, so discount him
Gianluigi Donnarumma (G) not expected to be available (a) if he signs a new deal, AND (b) Milan avoid a financial crisis - in which case Juventus could pounce - interest from elsewhere which could possibly include Inter, but I think that would be too difficult. PSG is a viable option and Real Madrid a cannot be discounted. An approach has been made to an English side but there is a significant levy being put on wages. WS signed, so discount him
David de Gea (G) Was Plan B – but he can be scratched.
Alex Meret (G) lots of clubs have been looking - Juventus are keen. WS signed, so discount him

Thomas Meunier (RB) low cost option, but unlikely.
Nelson Semedo (RB) could well arrive in a part exchange deal.
Tomas Esteves (RB) Porto kiddie watched by many but declared interest from Juventus and Dortmund. Porto don't want to sell.

Emerson Palmieri (LWB) wanted to replace Alex Sandro.
Alex Telles (LWB) option to Emerson.
Marcos Alonso (LWB) another option to Emerson.
Mathieu Goncalves (LB) the cheap option.
Layvin Kurzawa (LWB) a third-party has mugged Arsenal in to looking to a constantly injured money pit - a Free Agent option who will be able to join in the summer. Inter are also keen and the player may well opt for them, but he is not their first choice. It is expected that Sevilla will provide an interesting option to the player. The same third party has also offered the player to Barcelona who are looking at spending carefully on some so they can splurge on primary targets - but the injury situation bothers them. Juventus and Spurs interest has gone so scratch him.
Luiz Felipe (CB) Milan have asked for talks - Inter, Manchester City and Juventus are also interested and have funds available. Money is driving Barcelona to look to alternate options and LF may well become the well-priced first choice target - but Lazio will resist a sale if they can.
Toby Alderweireld (CB) if they can get him for a low fee
Jean-Clair Todibo (CB) will only be sold with a buy-back clause and €25M - plenty of interest but Barcelona do not see him as good enough - as be available in January and offered around to clubs including Everton, Inter, Manchester United. But Milan have had talks but concerns over injuries saw a lower bid made and rejected. Interest from RBL, Bayer Leverkusen and Southampton. His agent has offered him to Napoli as a Kalidou Koulibaly replacement. It is plausible that Everton has made an approach to Barcelona, but I cannot confirm it. Inter could want him in a deal for Martinez or Juventus for Pjanic.

Sandro Tonali (DM/CM) - A player who was being chased by Conte at Chelsea as a 17 year old and has continued to be of interest but it probably won't go anywhere unless Kante or Jorginho were to leave Chelsea and the kid changes his mind about playing outside of Italy. There was interest in the summer of 2019 from Liverpool, but it was seen as futile and expensive and not followed up. His reluctance to leave Italy ended PSG interest who then went for Idrissa Gueye and the €60M price killed the interest of Milan unless they can sell to raise the funds. PSG would only look again if Gueye or Paredes were to leave which seemes unlikely right now. Napoli, Inter, Fiorentina and Juventus remain interested with Manchester City, Barcelona and Chelsea keen if the kid is open to leaving Italy but Inter MIlan remains Tonali's preferred destination. Manchester City have extended the contract of Fernandinho another year but could bid and put the player out on loan, perhaps to Girona - but he is not first choice. Realistically, Inter and Juventus would be the best solution as they will be looking to replace Matias Vecino and Blaise Matuidi (although also have Casemiro in mind) respectively. Both clubs would look to include at least one player in the deal, for Juventus it would be Nicolussi Caviglia. Brescia need the money to ringfence themselves and want a cash deal at €50M. I would discount Fiorentina and Napoli.
Casemiro (DM/CM)
Jorginho (DM/CM) Juventus see him as another option to Tonali - it may come down to what offer of players/cash is on the table. It is unlikely that Chelsea would want Pjanic but Bernardeschi may be of interest. Discussions could be expanded to include Emerson and Alex Sandro.
Thomas Partey (DM) Atletico Madrid are not looking to let him leave but AM are in a significant debt issue and know that Llorenne, Saul, Partey and Lemar are the options to open up the opportunity to raise money - yet the interest of sides is a light year from serious. They may be able to ease the immediate strain with the help of Chelsea. Juventus have an interest in Partey but would want to have a player involved in the deal - that would be Douglas Costa ideally.
Paul Pogba (CM) was first choice but not happy trying to deal with the amateurs who will not work via Mino. Juventus would look to offer players in the deal.
Sergej Milinkovic-Savic (CM) Manchester United has not shown any interest in Milinkovic-Savic this season and have been difficult with Pogba and his agent in looking to leave - and that never looks good in the eyes of players or agents. Juventus are looking at other options but he remains on the list. The player will be offered to PSG but there are issues holding up commitments from them at this time. Right now it seems unlikely and the price would be about €100M to Manchester United. Lazio have a replacement in mind but could lose him elsewhere. Real Madrid see him as the preferred option to Pogba - where interest is waning as Manchester United are stuck in the "stupid" cycle. Manchester City see him as an option to their preferred choice but could well turn to him. Every chance he will stay where he is unless he is available at a reasonable price or PSG decide to push for him before addressing their management issue.
Thiago Alcantara (CM) will likely extend at Bayern Munich.
Gaetano Castrovilli (CM) interest of Inter and Juventus pushed away with €50M demand for a player they see as cover. Fiorentina will look to keep him and raise money through the sale of Federico Chiesa.
Dejan Kulusevski (RW/CM/AM) has agreed the move to Juventus.
Arthur Melo (CM) could make way in the summer - it has not worked out well in Barcelona. Prior interest of Chelsea has gone but an offer from Inter was rebuffed - implying he will stay - but Juventus and Inter have an opportunity to put a case to the player now. Juventus will look to trade Daniele Rugani for him. However, it looks like Arthur will look to stay at Barcelona and fight for his place.
Houssem Aouar (CM/AM) Manchester City approached Lyon about Aouar and Ndombele last summer and it was made clear that only one of those two key players would be allowed to leave then - Manchester City maintain an interest but he is not first choice, as do Juventus but the interest of Barcelona and Chelsea will have gone unless other targets are not available or too expensive for them. If Juventus can sell Pjanic and Bernardeschi, they may look to Aouar as an option to the very expensive Kai Havertz but might want to include a player in any deal. Arsenal also maintain an interest but have a financial issue due to stupidity and will need to sell to bring in funds - they are also less attractive without Champions League football and I would strike Aouar from the list. PSG are interested as an alternative to Lucas Paqueta but might want to wait to their managerial situation is resolved first. I would have expected the player to stay another season at Lyon and that he would be the last of the assets to be sold - but the curtailment of the French season and no European football means Lyon will make him available with the likes of Dembele and Depay. And his availability could tempt others to look at him - perhaps Real Madrid if Asensio or Isco were to leave and perhaps Liverpool who have a need for an AM player or even Napoli is Fabian Ruiz were to leave.
Ryan Gravenberch (CM) Ajax kiddie

Kai Havertz (AM/CM) Juventus will push for a deal which will spark Bayern Munich or Chelsea in to paying over the odds.
Nicolo Zaniolo (AM) Juventus could offer Bernardeschi plus cash to Roma, but it is really cash they need.
James Rodriguez (AM) - a high end Columbian is wanted in Miami with JR the preferred choice but JR will want more time in Europe with Juventus and Manchester United the preference. Juventus are open to replacing Dybala and have lost out on Eriksen and expect their first choice AM player, Havertz, to complete a move elsewhere, so James Rodriguez might well have been an option. He looks to be heading elsewhere so scratch him.

Ouseman Dembele (RW) would save Juventus money but only a backup option but Juventus might be open to taking Arthur, some cash and the loan of Dembele for Pjanic.
Jeremie Boga (LW) Napoli want Boga as a replacement for Insigne who has yet to sign a new contract and wanted him in January to bed him in - that was scuppered by Sassuolo who want to keep him for at least one more year and asked Chelsea to assist by exchanging their option to buy the player back for a fixed percentage of their fee when they eventually do sell him. Napoli have had a €20M offer rejected but will return in the summer. Milan, Roma, Juventus, Brighton and Inter have also enquired about his availability.
Tahith Chong (RW) one for the future - MU don't want to sell but the player has concerns about having no mapped out future and MUs efforts to buy themselves back in to contention in the summer of 2019 - a tentative approach from Bayern Munich was turned away. BM may decide to look to TC again in 2020 as one potential long term replacement for Arjen Robben. Juventus have made his representatives aware of their interest in the player as well. Scratch him – agreed a new contract.
Riccardo Orsolini (RW) Patricio wants to take up the option to buy him back from Bologna.
Ferran Torres (RW/LW) considered as a potential Jadon Sancho replacement but likely priced out of a move to Borussia Dortmund - will end up at Real Madrid or Barcelona in all probability at some point. But, if Salah were to depart Liverpool he could well become an option for them but for now that is not the case. The player has made no secret of his desire to join Barcelona at some point. Valencia have a replacement lined up but the €100M asking price would need to drop to make a transfer anywhere viable this summer. Juventus has enquired after his availability but would need to make sales to fund a move. A third party has suggested to Manchester United that Ferran Torres would be a better option to Jadon Sancho as the deal would be far, far cheaper for them. Scratch him for Juventus.
Federico Chiesa (RW/F) much more affordable than Sancho for Manchester United and of prior interest, but Inter remain keen although talks are now on hold. Fiorentina are willing to sell in the summer. Should it happen at some point, he would be a direct replacement, has similar attributes to Salah, is liked by Klopp and, although Liverpool have shown no interest. Inter to push for a move for him as soon as they can. And that is the move the player has wanted. Sarri desired the player when at Napoli and he wants to improve his options at Juventus but it would mean moving on both Douglas Costa and Bernardeshi first - although they are trying. Napoli remain in some turmoil and unattractive to players whilst they get their act together. Prior interest of Milan and Roma has gone due to the asking price.
Willian (RW/LW) Chelsea want him to stay and Willian wants to stay - the offer is a one year deal and then an option on the next year against the desired two years plus one year option. A low cost option that is of interest to Spurs and Barcelona. Sarri could look to taking him to Juventus if Douglas Costa moves on. Family keen to stay in the London area, he co-owns a business in London and everyone is settled. Chelsea have stopped negotiations on contracts for now and it is looking less likely a deal can be agreed. A Plan B.

Antonio Marin (LW/F) Dinamo Zagreb kiddie interesting Chelsea, Manchester City, Milan, Villarreal and Juventus.

Arkadiusz Milik (S) wanted by Milan who have offered Kessie in exchange. Juventus and Spurs have both enquired. Napoli are looking toward keeping both Arkadiusz Milik and Dries Mertens and shifting the issue forward a year by which time internal problems may have gone. Do not discount Atletico Madrid.
Mauro Icardi (S) may yet leave PSG after they just signed him and seek a move to Juventus and Juventus will exchange Alex Sandro and Miralem Pjanic plus the taxes and fees incurred for the player - but PSG want cash as part of the deal - which they will split with Icardi.
Fabio Silva (S) wanted by Juventus but price is far too high for them and attention is looking back toward another. Atletico Madrid have talked with Porto - but again the price would be an issue. Again an enquiry from Shakhtar Donetsk was dropped because of the price.
Gabriel Jesus (S) very unlikely – scratch him.
Moussa Dembele (S) another option but seen as expensive
Matias Godoy (S) being chased by Juventus and Chelsea. One for the long term.
Timo Werner (S) – scratch him
Marcus Thuram (S) Interest from Juventus is growing.
Arkadiusz Milik (S) wanted by Milan who have offered Kessie in exchange. Juventus and Spurs have both enquired. Napoli are looking toward keeping both Arkadiusz Milik and Dries Mertens and shifting the issue forward a year by which time internal problems may have gone but right now they are pondering a very good option in Osihem being offered as a Milik replacement. Do not discount Atletico Madrid.
Kaio Jorge (AM/F) is expected to have a very good future but Santos are asking a huge amount of money for the 18 year old (he has an $80M release clause) which has stalled discussions with Juventus who were looking at about a fifth of that price. Barcelona, Chelsea, Bayer Leverkusen, Shakhtar Donetsk, Monaco and Milan have approached or been approached about the player. Santos may accept something in the region of $30M - which is a great deal of money for the player.

AVAILABLE
Matteo De Sciglio (RB/LB) seen as surplus and could be used as part of a trade for Icardi.
Alex Sandro (LB) Juventus want PSG to take up their option on Icardi and Juventus will exchange Alex Sandro and Miralem Pjanic plus the taxes and fees incurred for the player. Alternatively, Juventus would offer Alex Sandro as part of an exchange for Emerson.
Daniele Rugani (CB) not playing regularly and would provide funds
Lorenzo Pirola (CB) a loan to Pescara has been discussed now he is 18. Hellas Verona might provide an option.
Blaise Matuidi (CM) is available for sale or trade
Nicolussi Caviglia (CM) available to be exchanged
Emre Can (CM) turned down a move to MU and heading to Borussia Dortmund in the summer.
Adrien Rabiot (CM/DM) sick of the whining already - but could potentially be offered as part of an exchange could be offered as part of a deal for Pogba or another.
Sami Khedira (CM)
Miralem Pjanic (CM) €70M asking price way too high - could be offered as part of a deal for Pogba or Icardi - or perhaps as part of a deal for Arthur or Tobido. Juventus might be open to taking Arthur, some cash and the loan of Dembele.
Federico Bernardeschi (CM/AM,RW) A Barcelona move was rejected in January but he will be available in the summer. Bernardeschi's opportunities have been in decline on the RW and he has had to play out of position which has not worked out. Milan have dropped prior interest whilst both Atletico Madrid and Inter Milan are not interested in any exchange deals involving him. Player wants to stay in Turin or would be open to a move to London - which will see him offered to Chelsea as part of a trade for Jorginho and/or Emerson or to Manchester United for Pogba. Chelsea's interest will take into account Willian signing a new contract.
Paulo Dybala (AM/F) is possibly available to sell or trade unless an issue can be overcome.
Douglas Costa (RW/LW) available for sale or trade - could be offered as part of a deal for Pogba or Icardi with plans to replace him with Federico Chiesa
Gonzalo Higuain (S) available but Juventus have offered a compromise where they would extend another year but he must cost no more than is budgetted for next year (so halve his package)

Do you see ronaldo staying much longer? If not what options could open up?

{Ed002's Note - Cristiano Ronaldo (F) Inter Miami would be a viable option that would get Juventus out of a problem with having an aging player in a year (whilst they find another pin up).}

Thanks for the update. Good move for him at this stage in his career.

Tried searching but couldn’t find which clubs are interested in Koulibaly ed?

Also, what clubs are interested in Ajer of Celtic?

Thanks,
MB.

MB1

{Ed002's Note - Koulibaly is of interest to Manchester City and PSG but price is an issue.

Kristoffer Ajer (CB) Milan see Ajer as a cheaper option to their primary target but funds may not stretch as they look to sell players and buy lower priced alternatives. With other options falling by the wayside, Ajer is of interest to Leicester. Top of the list for Atletico Madrid - but only if they lose a CB - which they are trying to avoid. Previous interest of Spurs, Newcastle and Ajax has moved on.}
