Ed002.
Can I enquire on athletico Madrid please?
4 players in particular. Is there any interest in saul. Felix. Oblak and trippier .
Are the club open to selling any of the above and furthermore to you know of the players would be open to a move away?
Secondly do you know who AM are looking to bring in player wise for next season?

ken

{Ed002's Note - Saul Niguez (CM) Bayern Munich's first choice to add for midfield and his agent has spoken with Bayern, an Italian side and an English side as Atletico want to make very significant savings on salaries and could be forced in to a corner by the player and his agent. Nobody will pay his release clause but Atletico could look to a very high fee for a player who has a contract that runs for years in order to get his €300k off the books.
Joao Felix (AM) An approach for him from Barcelona was rejected as AM are selling a similar player.

Thank you ed002. Nothing on oblak?

{Ed002's Note - Jan Oblak (G) PSG will offer an option if available.}

3.) 02 Jun 2021 13:31:38
Cheers. Have a good day.

4.) 03 Jun 2021 14:10:38
Hi ed002 - regarding Saul who is the team from England that has spoken with his agent recently? Does he still remain first choice for Bayern with some rumours of interest in Neuhaus from them also?

{Ed002's Note - Manchester United but they don't have the space. Bayern Munich want Saul but see the price as too high.}

5.) 03 Jun 2021 17:53:34
Hi Ed, seeing rumors that CFC and PSG have an interest in Saul. Would he be a player CFC would add with the current crowded midfield?

Cheers.

{Ed002's Note - Someone is teasing you about him Matt.}

03 Sep 2020 22:54:04
Hi ed 002. Any interest in Thomas lemar and party from athletico?
Thanks hope all is well.

ken

{Ed002's Note - Thomas Partey (DM) Atletico Madrid are not looking to let him leave but AM are in a significant debt issue and know that Oblak, Llorente, Saul, Partey and Lemar are the options to open up the opportunity to raise money - yet the interest of sides is a light year from serious and Atletico will fight to keep Koke and Gimenez. Juventus have an interest in Partey but would want to have a player involved in the deal - that would be Douglas Costa ideally but AM want the €50 buy out paid in cash. Arsenal may just be able to use Lacazette as part of a deal for him, but Arsenal remain in a significant financial mess as well and really need sales before they buy.
Thomas Lemar (AM/LW) is being hawked around Premier League sides. Atletco are seeking a large fee to recover as much as they can which has put off Porto and Wolves. Will go late in the window.}

Good evening ed002. I hope you are keeping well
Can i ask where you think real Madrid are in their rebuilding plan now, given the new financial considerations.
Im assuming that some players will move on modric? Hakimi? Jovic? Bale? James? Is their any others?
Who are they looking to bring in? Are the likes of mbappe and pogba or VDB still of interest?
Also if i can ask your opinion on Zidane. Do you think he will stay. He doesn't look as settled or happy as he was during his first stint in charge despite the likely title.

ken

{Ed002's Note - They are screwed because of the pandemic and will look to offset their losses through the sale of players from a huge list of players available. Financial issues will see the squad trimmed right back, exchanges, youngsters promoted and significantly reduced purchases. They have already settled on their two primary purchases from this year being delayed until next summer. Zindane stays for now.}

1.) 18 Jul 2020 02:30:17
I've heard that one of the few players definitely not for sale is Asensio. Just a rumour ofc but makes sense given his age.

{Ed002's Note - Marco Asensio (AM/LW) interest from Inter and he was offered as part of a deal with an English side last year but the player has said he does not want to leave and that is also the position of Florentino Perez – he has been out with a serious knee injury and is returning to the team so expect him to stay.}

2.) 19 Jul 2020 04:06:52
Cheers ed. They would be mad to sell IMO, I'm expecting big things from him.

09 Jan 2020 19:54:51
Hi ed002. Hope you are well. Happy new year.
Just wondering what cb's real Madrid gold am interest in. Ramos must be coming to the back end of his career ap i anime they have a plan to replace him at some point.
Secondly if i can ask what forwards Barcelona are considering to replace Suarez?

ken

{Ed002's Note - Milan Skriniar (CB) seen as a Ramos replacement
Diego Carlos (CB) Manchester City have dropped their interest and are looking at others which will possibly be available to solve their issue in January. Real Madrid have a sustained interest and Liverpool has declared an interest in taking DC in the summer.
Kalidou Koulibaly (CB) another SR replacement.}

1.) 09 Jan 2020 20:33:54
Cheers ed sorry about the typos.

02 Jun 2019 16:23:26
Hi ed002
Hope you are well. How do you see things working out for bale?
Its been a rather ugly of words between himself and zidane.
Obviously his wage demands are very high .
Where do you think he will go to if anywhere?
Either on loan or permenant.

ken

{Ed002's Note - Gareth Bale (W) is available to be sold or used in a part exchange deal but nobody is interested at this time given the asking price - seen as one of the main reasons that the rebuild will take longer than planned as he wants to stay - one other possibility would be a loan.}

Ed 002.
Do you know if juve will stick with pirlo or go for a new coach?

ken

{Ed002's Note - I suspect he will go but for now Juve aren't saying that but they, like several other sides, have taken advice over where next with coaching staff.}

1.) 10 May 2021 19:33:43
If they finish outside the top 4 it will be a rude awakening. Appointing pirlo looks like a gamble that didn't pay off not unlike Lampard, ole hanging in there at united.

{Ed002's Note - Yes they would not be expecting that but for now they are outwardly OK with the situation. Inwardly they have taken advice from a third party already as I have explained. This is common - Spurs did it when they still had Mr Mourinho for example - and other clubs have done it this year.}

2.) 11 May 2021 06:48:53
I'm not sure that I'd said the gamle with Frank Lampard did not pay off. It might have ended sourly, but he's the one who somehow brought us into the Champion's League this season, and to an FA Cup final last year. Of course this season didn't go the way it should have, but in the grand scheme of things, I think Lampard very much paid off. I have a very hard time seeing other managers that were available that season give players like Mount, James, Gilmour and Tomori so many chances! Just by trusting these players, Lampard has made sure that Tomori might get sold for £28 mil and that we've gotten some huge, proven talents.

3.) 10 May 2021 21:48:02
It's prudent to do so I guess. thanks.

Hi ed002.
Can i ask you about inter Milan summer plasma with regards to sales and purchases.
Is sanchez thing to stay there either on loan or permenent?
Do you think martinez well leave and who will they target to retrieve him should he go?
Have they any plans to bring in another midfield player?
Thanks.

ken

{Ed002's Note - They have a lot of plans and are actively involved in negotiations over a number of players. Martinez will leave to Manchester City or Barcelona; they have a number of replacements and will likely look to a short term solution because of the finances and another matter, Sanchez remains undecided}

14 May 2020 19:25:23
Well ed002 i hope your keeping well.
Can you tell us who if anybody is looking at sms from Lazio?
He has had a really good season so far and the Lazio chief was quoted recently saying if the player has a desire to leave they won't stand in his way.
I think you did in the past the was limited / tentative interest from epl clubs and also from juve.
Petsonally i really like him as a player. Super tecnically and physically even though he us not quick over the ground he is very good at timing his runs and positioning and he has a great knack of being in the right place at the right time either offensively or defencively.
Secondly can i ask if there is any interest in immobile who had also had a stand out season at Lazio?
Thanks.

ken

{Ed002's Note - Sergej Milinkovic-Savic (CM) Manchester United has not shown any interest in Milinkovic-Savic this season and have been difficult with Pogba and his agent in looking to leave - and that never tooks good in the eyes of players or agents. Juventus are looking at other options but he remains on the list. The player will be offered to PSG but there are issues holding up commitments from them at this time. Right now it seems unlikely and the price would be about €100M to Manchester United. Lazio have a replacement in mind but could lose him elsewhere.

Ciro Immobile (S) Lazio are open to let the player move on as his value will decrease now he is in his 30s. In the recent past he has turned down moves to Milan and Chelsea simply because, as he said, being in Rome was the first time he had settled in his career and he wishes to stay. Time has now come and Lazio will sell, but at a price. They are asking €50M - hard to see them getting that.}

1.) 14 May 2020 22:00:20
Thanks ed. Do you expect anyone to move for sms or do you think that he will stay? they are set for a cl spot for the first time in years.
Good team to watch this year Lazio.

{Ed002's Note - I really don’t know - it would not be out of the question but money would be an issue and players will likely be offered for part of the deal.}

2.) 15 May 2020 22:16:54
Thanks ed002.

3.) 16 May 2020 08:05:58
I remember either one of you Ed's - either it was 002 or 001 - writing a bit about Immobile being the type of player that's mostly good in his own country, and you're writing that being in Rome is the first time he's settled.
This leads me to wonder whether you think he would do better if he was to leave Italy, or if you think he might run into the same problems he had at Dortmund and Sevilla?

{Ed002's Note - I don't understand the question given the answer provided.}

28 Jun 2019 19:02:20
Ed002 hope you are well. Travels behind you for a bit i hope.
Are juve open to selling moise keane?
Ive seen him play quite a bit and i think he is a great prospect.

ken

{Ed002's Note - Yes but he won’t be moving to Manchester United.}

1.) 29 Jun 2019 09:16:02
That was not my reason for asking thanks anyway ed.

{Ed002's Note - OK.}

2.) 29 Jun 2019 13:36:34
Just like The raw talent he appears to have ed. I'm surorised juve are pen to selling him but they see him every day i suppose.
Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - I don’t know what you mean.}

3.) 30 Jun 2019 15:45:08
I think he looks very talented so I'm surprised juve are open to selling him. But they see him train every day and perhaps he isn't showing as much daily as i think he has and that's the reason why they will sell him.

{Ed002's Note - No, that isn't it.}

23 Mar 2019 00:37:41
Hi ed002. Lazio have had a disappointing season. Is there still a lot of clubs interested in SMS. I've watched him a lot and he is very technically gifted and is still plaguing well in my onion without quite hitting the heights of last season.
I know united juve and madrid held varying degrees of interest last year.
Thanks.

ken

{Ed002's Note - Milan and Real Madrid remain keen. Sergej Milinkovic-Savic (CM) will likely be priced out of a move unless Milan can be creative - and it looks like they will try to be; Madrid lost out on FdJ and see him as a less grief option to Pogba. JUventus will almost certainly have a new coach and already have two other targets they are keen on ahead of him.}

1.) 23 Mar 2019 10:17:50
